Where is Plumb Yoga located?

In the heart of Rochester’s Neighborhood of the Arts (NOTA), on the 5th floor of Village Gate Square, located at 274 Goodman St N, Rochester, NY 14607. But where??? From outside in the main courtyard, head to the restaurant, Lento, which faces Goodman Street. There, you will see an exterior door labelled “Riser 1.” Upon stepping inside, the elevator is immediately to your left. Take the elevator to the fifth floor, turn left, and follow the signs to the studio. Can’t wait to see you soon!

Do I have to pre-register to take class?

No. While it’s nice for us to have an idea of how many students will be attending class, it is not necessary to register before coming.

How do I pay for class?

When you pre-register for a class, you can pay online using any major credit card or your debit card. If you arrive to class without pre-registration, you can pay with Venmo, PayPal, credit card, or that other old-fashioned way: cash.

What do I need for class?

A yoga mat. We have blocks and straps for you to use. Comfortable clothes in which you can move: sweats, leggings, shorts, BARE FEET. We recommend bringing a water bottle and a hand towel.

Is it hot yoga?

No. The studio is kept at a comfortable temperature that is conducive to being warm enough to move and stretch the body. Expect to sweat, but not to feel like you’re in the tropics!

What if I’m not flexible? What if I’ve never done yoga? What if I’m not “in shape”?

Please come in the body that you have, with the knowledge that you have, at the fitness level that you are. Yoga is beautifully accommodating to every human—each pose has a myriad of variations to fit your body. Once on your mat, you will be supported to “go with YOUR flow.” Whether you want to push hard, or go easy: we support you. Whether you have practiced yoga for years, or are just starting: we will guide you. If there’s one place EVERYONE belongs, it’s yoga.
